About Us

Sometimes life will give you lemons.  And sometimes you make Lemonade.  My Lemonade came in form of starting a school to provide education for children in need.

In October 2011 my mother, who was my pillar and who also looked after and supported many children, suddenly died.  It rocked my world to lose a mother and friend at a time that I felt I needed her most.

I held my life together as best as I could but make no mistake about it, the time that followed was the lowest point in my life.

Desperately searching for something to lift my spirits and set my life back on track I started to support the children who my mother had been supporting and who as a result of her death had felt so helpless.   I knew these children needed me.  However, they had no idea how much I needed them.

The children made me realise how great the future could be.  I wanted to share the magic with others.  So, in 2014, I started a school for children in need and then formed a charity in 2017.

I can sum up the reaction of colleagues, friends and family, when they asked me about my decision.

“You’re kidding, right?’.  No, I wasn’t kidding.
